What a Sunday we’ve had on the second day of KKDP 2025! The day began with the final qualifying rounds, where players gave their all to secure the last spots in the main tournament. Intense matches and impressive performances set the tone for the rest of the day.
After the qualifiers were finished, we gathered at the Centre Court for the opening ceremony. The players lined up, proud and ready, grouped by their respective nations.
We are now looking forward to tomorrow with great enthusiasm, as the main draw finally kicks off! Monday brings an exciting lineup of matches, including cheering on our Swedish players — a total of 19 — as they enter the competition. Some specific matches to look out for include the top-seeded Laurens Drijver playing against Sweden’s Albert Berglund. We’ll also see the top-seeded Darina Matvejeva face off against Italian Benedetta Terzoli, who qualified for the main draw. An extra eye should also be kept on the Czech girls, who are traditionally very strong in the women’s category, such as Sofie Mottlová, who faces Romana Dekanova from Slovakia.
It’s fantastic to have so many players from 37 different nations here in Stockholm, and we wish all players the best of luck in the tournament!
Monday’s matches start at 10:30 AM — let’s go!
