Last weekend, the former winner of Drottningens Pris 2019 and 2020, Brenda Fruhvirtova, scored a fourth straight title at W25 Braunschweig.
In so doing, she won the 20th match in a row, putting her in the top spot this year for win-streaks across men and women on the ITF World Tennis Tour and just one behind Nuria Parrizas Diaz’s 21-match win streak of 2020/21.
Around a week ago, she became the youngest player in history to win five titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
There was more good news this week for the Fruhvirtova family as big sister Linda, pictured above, successfully qualified for the US Open main draw and will take on China’s Wang Xinyu in the opening round. Linda won Drottningens Pris 2018.
Drottningens Pris 2022 begins on the 29th of October – do not miss it!
