In 2012, both Stefanos Tsitsipas and Mikael Ymer were in Stockholm and participated in Kungens Kanna, where Ymer went all the way to the finals. Today, they reunite as the preparations for the Australian Open are underway.
Players have been arriving in Australia since the middle of January, where they will undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine period because of the coronavirus. During that time, they are limited to where they can go and are prohibited from taking part in professional tournaments. However, they will be allowed to train with one other player of their choice initially. As it happens, Tsitsipas and Ymer teamed up as training buddies for this year’s first Grand Slam.
