Saturday offered world-class tennis as the singles semifinals and doubles finals were decided at the prestigious Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris.

The day began with the girls’ semifinals, where the audience witnessed two high-quality matches. In the first semifinal, Darina Matvejeva from Latvia showcased both strength and composure as she defeated Zeliha Nil Çukurluoglu from Turkey in straight sets. The second set was filled with drama right until the final points, but top-seeded Matvejeva kept her nerves in check and secured her spot in the final.

In the second semifinal, Ekaterina Dotsenko and Sofiia Bielinska faced off in a tight battle. The match was ultimately decided in an exciting tiebreak in the second set, where Dotsenko maintained her calm and clinched the ticket to the final.

Now, we look forward to a rematch of the final from Les Petits As in France earlier this year, where Dotsenko triumphed over Matvejeva. Will Matvejeva claim her revenge, or can Dotsenko win both Super Category tournaments within a few weeks? We’ll find out in tomorrow’s final.

After the girls’ battles, it was time for the boys’ semifinals. Samuel Dekassian impressed as he defeated Mikael Lehtinen from Finland. Dekassian claimed the first set convincingly with 6-1, but Lehtinen fought back and pushed the match to a tiebreak in the second set. Despite Lehtinen’s strong comeback, it was Dekassian who emerged victorious, securing his place in the final.

In the other semifinal, Akhmadi Makhanov from Kazakhstan demonstrated his power by defeating Yurii Stoliarov from Ukraine in straight sets. An exciting final now awaits between Dekassian and Makhanov — who will lift the trophy at Kungens Kanna 2025?

Doubles champions crowned

Saturday concluded with a festive finish as the doubles matches were decided. On the boys’ side, Moritz Freitag (AUT) and Francisco Sardinha (POR) triumphed with a commanding victory against the German pair Luys Calin and Lucas Ariel Herrera Sanchez.

In the girls’ doubles, Sofie Mottlová (CZE) and Violetta Skryp (UKR) claimed the title after an impressive performance against the British duo Liv Zingg and Grace Watson.

Final day at KKDP 2025!

All eyes are now on Sunday’s singles finals. Will we see revenge or a repeat in the girls’ final? And who will take home the title on the boys’ side? The tension is high, and we look forward to a grand conclusion to this year’s Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris.

The finals will be played on Courts 1 and 2, starting at 11:30 AM!
