Many of the best players aged 14 and under are coming to Stockholm to participate in Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris. The local players will need to fight extremely hard to progress into the final rounds of the tournament

When we asked Aftab Baig (picture), the Royal Lawn Tennis Club’s Head Tennis Coach and also assistant Tournament Director for the Super Category event, on his thoughts he mentioned the following:

“It’s one of the toughest line-ups we have seen since our tournament joined the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, it would be a huge surprise if a Swedish player would reach the quarter-finals this year. But in tennis, anything is possible, and no match is finished until the last point is decided. If you ask me, I will keep an extra eye on William Rejchtman Vinciguerra, a lefty with light feet who likes to counterpunch, or Emil Kindhult who has a solid forehand and likes to wait for his opportunity at the baseline.”

“On the girls’ side, I wouldn’t miss Bella Bergkvist Larsson, she is very fast and has a great sense for the game. Another promising talent is Nellie Taraba Wallberg, who shows an impressive fighting spirit and moves very well on court.”
